What heads are you using? Where did you get them from?

I'm sorry I was wrong, I just looked at my receipt, they are the heavy duty cast heads, not the EQ's. I just looked at my list of parts I wrote down and seen the EQ magnum heads crossed off, And yes they are the Odessa heads off Ebay.
The thicker heads are beefed up a little in the cast area where the are prone to crack. The machine shop installed the valves , springs, and seals, clean up of casting port job and flow tested.

Literally waiting on paint to dry, finished up the back half of the body lift, wired wheeled the frame and painted hammer coat black, dropped the gas tank ( oh god the bad gas ) in that tank. Motor is just about done and ready to drop in, just have to get a couple more new sending units and sensors.

Well I have got the motor in the truck, pretty much wired up and vaccume lines are connected (SORTA) EGR lines need to be spliced in, HEADERS are on, But driver side is real close to the front drive shaft about a inch and a half close, and the "Y" off road pipe don't fit. The Y pipe has to be longer from the headers to clear my transfer case plus need a couple of bends to clear cross member. That will be the exhaust shops job. other than that the headers fit perfect in the engine bay. new radiator just came in serpentine belt and hoses also. have to get the posi lock for front axle routed yet, hopefully I'll hear this thing run in the next couple of days.

Motor is finally done, fired rite up purr's like a kitten, have a couple of issue's to take care of, but let me tell you a 3 inch body lift makes everything so much more easier to install. The header on the driver side is riding real close to my front drive shaft, figure a 4 inch lift will solve that problem down the road. The Pace Setter off road "Y" pipe had to be extended by 3 inches so it would clear the transfer case.( still have to finish rest of exhaust). Front bumper brackets in body lift fit great on pass/side, Driver side had to be customized to get all 3 bolt holes to line up. had a little trouble getting the shift rod to separate from steering shaft then had to beat the shift shaft out of the adjustment bolt at the bottom so I can weld a extension piece in, four wheel drive shifter went nice and easy.
Now I just have to figure out how to lower my idle from 1000 RPMS and I will be happy
