so i put new wires and a new coil in. started right up. new problem is it isnt running right at all. it sounds like its misfiring and is making a horable clanking noise when i press on the gas almost like somthing is broken. the is also char marks in the snow at the exhaust with what looks like metal flakes.

So you checked for spark and there was none then?

you did new plug wires? are you sure you hooked them up properly?

When you checked for spark before making the changes, was there any?

How long did you try cranking the engine when it wouldn't start? How many times did you try it?

Recheck plug wire routing. There is a TSB for it in the FAQ/DIY section here. I suspect you have a couple switched.
