Default Major front brake issue

I have a 98.5 dodge 2500 24v with a major brake issue that i cant figure out. My front brakes have been dragging majorly for a while. After I discovered the problem i started digging in to fix the problem. Started with the master cylinder but that wasnt the problem. Replaced the rotors, calipers and brake hoses. Still no relief, Have bled them several times including bench bleed on the master twice. Hydroboost seems to be functioning properly as far as coming out and returning the way that it should. I disabled the abs by pulling the fuse to no avail. Also the proportioning valve seems to be working properly after cracking the lines and checking for fluid flow by pressing on the brake pedal. Very frustrated with this problem. anybody have any advice on what else to check or look at????

I'm betting you have air trapped in the ABS pump . You would need a really good scan tool or DRBscan tool from the dealer to activate , and bleed the pump .

That's all I got

Jack up the front, step down on the brakes. Try and spin the tires. Brakes dragging? Crack open the bleeder, and see if they loosen up.

I tried that and they do drag until the bleeder valve is opened. Then they free up. I heard from another site that this could be hydroboost failure. The pedal is very firm at the top. Has anybody else had this problem ????

When you put the calipers in did you lube the sliders it rides on? Not lubricating them causes the caliper to drag.

Normally I would say that's a collapsed line, but, you replaced them......

2 or 4 wheel ABS?

Yes everything that should be greased has been with synthetic break lube. It is 4 wheel abs and 4 wheel drive.

Start working your way back thru the system then, step on pedal, crack the lines loose somewhere, see if the pressure releases. Keep working your way back thru the system, see if you can't discover what is holding the pressure.
