How many miles before I should service this new transmission? It's at 900 right now.I was thinking about 500 but that's a few miles away.got caught working and couldn't stop due to commitments.Dam commitments I hate em.What is advisable? Next task Plenum I'm thinking because cause its using a lot of oil and losing a small amount of water.I'm always checking under truck but never see either the oil or water.

1000 miles won't hurt, in all reality, you don't really need to change it till it hits 20K or so, (depending on usage)

How much oil are you going thru?

That's really not that bad. I was going thru a quart every 100 miles.......

Don't neglect the PCV valve when you do the plenum. Get one from the dealer, they actually have the correct flow rate. (about 8 bucks.)
