Anything binding? Is it struggling to move? If you let it sit and idle, will it continue to run? How many miles on the truck?

Nothing is Binding, No struggle to move , will sit in idle and run fine and it has 200,xxx but just overhauled whole transmission and put a high stall Torqure converter in it... It sits in idle fine but when put in drive and starts going it stalls

Does it jerk like dropping the clutch on a manual trans?

Just noticed "overhauled trans"...... Frequently, the crank position sensor is a victim of such happenings. It gets bent/crushed/spindled/mutilated during the swap, and stops working right. Think I would be tempted to pull it, and see what it looks like. If it's damaged, get one from the dealer. Yes, its more expensive, but, our trucks don't much care for some of the aftermarket sensors in critical places.

I put a brand new one in when we changed transmission I'm thinking it is the torque converter clutch soleinoid or the air idle Valve

When you start it cold, where does it idle at? As it warms up, does the idle come down?

What brand sensor did you get?

Not sure where it starts but I know it will stay around 800 rpm but oil gauge will move and when pushing down on the gas the oil drops and not sure on brand I got it from orielys
