97 just replaced front u joint......

Default 97 just replaced front u joint......

Not even 3 weeks and it flew out they went in I thought a little to easy and I did not clean the part where the caps go in

The holes they press into getting wallered out? Did you neglect to put in the clips to hold the caps on?

I put all clips on idk why it failed 1 cap came out the rest was fine

What brand u joint? El cheapo deluxe? If it was looser than you thought it should be you could have used some loc tight.

If the clips were in and in properly it's basically impossible for the cap to come out....

That happened to me once years ago - it was caused by the C-clip not being properly seated - always check closely to ensure the clip is fully seated into the groove of each U-joint bearing cap.

I would bet that the clip wasn`t seated in the groove properly, and it eventually worked its way out.

Yep. Make sure c clip is seated. I always clean out the grooves with a pick now
