i just did my tcase and it is for the most part easy. i removed the cross member which was the hardest part (installing it back anyways) but i have read guys getting the tcase out without removing that. yes rtv the case halves. i would get a new input seal while its out as well and a new transmission output seal as well. thats where mine was leaking in addition to the case halves. get a new tali housing seal as well. check out this old thread i started on it, https://dodgeforum.com/forum/2nd-gen...-bad-idea.html

** also agree with getting Gillys tcase saver ( i got mine off ebay)

I got all the seals now I just need to find a rear output housing. If anyone has a junk case laying around and wants to sell the housing let me know.

I just split the case. How loose should the chain be?

I know it's been a while. But the case is all back in the truck and the front driveshaft is back in. In still waiting on the tail shaft housing but everything seems to be tight and noise free when spinning by hand.
