Fuel Mileage
After replacing practically ALL of my sensors (which I now have to replace the CKPS with a genuine Mopar one this weekend cause the generic one is crapping out) from coolant temp down to both O2 sensors, replacing plugs, wires, distributor, coil.
And exhaust from headers back cause of a clogged cat, I've jumped from 10-12 to 15-16 on the highway. Hitting 200 miles just before I hit the 1/2 tank mark.
Too bad all this crap had to be done in January/February outside in the cold..
I don't always drive like a puss, but when I do, my MPG's make a small jump.

i like the NTK sensors, these truck dont like bosch sensors at all. i seem to always get 11mpg and thats with all my mods and tune and lift and tires, but my speedometer is definitely off so my trip counter is most likely off as well...so im probably getting better then 11
The best I have gotten is 370 miles out of my 5.2l short bed, that is definitely with some downhill travel. My gas light pops on around 290miles @ highway driving. Good luck getting 3-4MPG from spark plugs.
Unless I got the FLA (4 letter acronym) incorrect, CranK shaft Position Sensor. Not to be confused with the Cam Shaft position sensor. This is the bear behind the engine towards the top half of the trans.
I'm running ALL Mopar sensors now. O2 up and down, Crank shaft, coolant temp.
Just replaced the crank sensor (3rd time) on Saturday with a new mopar one scored on ebay for 40$, otherwise they are closer to $100+ . The OEM from Advanced started to crap out...only 2 months old.
If you order on line, make sure you get the correct one. Black plug with center position guide is auto-trans, white with off-center guide is manual trans. talking crank sensor here.
Its a pain, but after taking mine in and out 4 times and using my 15y old to grab the plug when i fish it up, we can do it 10 minutes.
All we have in WI is flat lands....mile after boring mile of flat land.

When my truck was new, I made a little chart for mileage at fuel gauge increment, so I would know how my consumption was going... if I was short on miles by a given mark, I know I was getting a poor mpg, and could estimate how much I had left before I would run out, and/or adjust my driving to extend the distance I had left... not that I typically ran it that low, but just so I knew in case it was needed.
Fill the tank, and zero the trip meter.
Full = 0
F = 90
7/8 = 130
3/4 = 165
5/8 = 205
1/2 =250
3/8 = 290
1/4 = 330
1/8 = 370 (light 'on')
E = 410 (estimated)... tested to 400 (one time).
Now (183k), 1/8 = 330

checked your plenum? When is the last time you had a tuneup?
