Transmission problem: driving down the road at 72mile an hour. Heard a bang. Pulled over. Checked fluids all good. Drove it home . overdrive lite was on. Said od off. Have no reverse. I put in a governor pressure sensor kit in. Now it wont shift out of 1st. Temp trans lite comes on and o\d off lite. Still have no reverse. HELP

Sounds like a new transmission is in order.

Check for a clogged (ATF) cooling system. Could be a hung anti-drainback check valve, or crud in the radiator/aux cooler.

Bang is a bad thing to hear. Did you also feel it in addition to hearing it?

The snap ring holding the od unit together have been known to break.

Sounds like a new transmission is in order.
I'd have to agree. Or at least a tear down to see what the problem is.

I did and everything looks good. But im not a machanic by profession. It is do it yourself . I am a mother of 8, I am a super sports woman by trade. Meaning hunt, trap, fish for a living. So my truck is important to me.
