Yea, I plan to take every thing apart and clean it (with the help of my uncle lol), as soon as I ha e the time. You should have seen the undercarriage before I pressure washed it lol I may just disconnect the battery and do the same to the engine compartment.

On yours, you just press in on the side of the part that clips into the bracket.

There's a button on the drivers side of that square piece that needs to be depressed. Might have to push it in with a short screwdriver or bolt or something. The idea is to get the slack out of the cable without pulling that spring loaded lever on the side of the trans. Push that button in and pull the cable a few times, it'll all come clear to you. The button holds that center piece with the cable in it from sliding.
