maybe a 1977 motorhome.. haha .. Stock 318 2bbl had more than 200H.P. Not saying there wasn't some somewhere but that crazy to own one.. haha

68 thru 71 4bbl 440's are much much more than 200 h.p. that i do know..

Yeah, and the 72 was rated at a whopping 225.....

Any 440 out of a smog era truck/rv whatever is gonna be seriously weak in stock configuring.

Not to mention that the way there were rated also changed in 71.....

And now your average base model V6 makes near or over 300hp and gets 25 mpg lol

Yeah but there's still just that different feel of the older v-8's and the mechanical 4bbl carbs i miss.. Now dont get me wrong I personally haven't rode in any SRT chargers, or Challengers, or better yet a Hellcat which I'm sure I would well let's say get excited over but a well tuned 383 or 440 with a 727 slapstick pretty tough to beat that feeling too. My next project I see coming. Between 67 and 69 barracuda restore. Probably 383.
