Ac help
Ok so during the winter I had someone else (****ty shop in retrospect) swap my motor. Now my ac doesn't work and they went out of buiness so I can't ask him if he disconnected my ac lines or discharged my freon. I don't know what my next step is. Should I just take it to a reputable shop to have them vacuum the system and charge it?
I did. It says normal however the ac clutch keeps clicking on and off as if it's low on freon. I don't have the tools or know how to check the high pressure side

Too low. That's why the compressor is kicking out.
Should be a chart on the side of the can, that tells you what low side pressure should be, for the given ambient temp. Keep added refrigerant until you get there.

The chart tells me to read it when it's kicked on, not off. And when it kicks on it reads too high

My ram did that when I swapped out the condenser. I was filling it and it started cycling and would spike than shut off. It scared me but it took a whole other can actually before it leveled out
Also. Yes you always check while running so you read proper compressor pressure

If it doesn't have enough pressure the compressor can't pump it through and shuts back off. The compressor creates the low side with a orifice or valve and if there isn't enough pressure to activate the valve it spikes up and shuts off. It doesn't get enough pressure to lower the low side. I may be wrong but I've had that issue filling 3 vehicles up
