He even designed the canned tune.

Superchips is junk unless you can find one for $100 or less, Hypertech is junk even free, Edge is pretty good but for the price of new, might as well go with SCT which can get custom tunes.
Don't give someone a death sentence like that. Sean was WAY WAY more than helpful when I got my tune. I was the first to try the new BDX on my truck, which didnt work for me (was before any official support) and he sent me the old SCT tuner and got everything worked out on his/SCTs/Bullydogs dime no problem. His tunes have been SOLID for my truck, and obviously didn't fry my PCM. And its not that he doesn't care about 2nd gen, its just a more or less dead engine for aftermarket now, theres not really alot out there being made for them anymore and even the old SCT's are running out of stock, and give its power/size and fuel usage, its generally better to just get a hemi for almost every application these days. Modern engines are quite amazing. 2nd gens are only popular for their cummins or magnums into old rods.

I myself don't fry pcm's. I use SCT for tuning. Its rare, but as with any tuning device it can fry a PCM. Its not the people writing the tunes, whoever they might be, but something during the tuning process glitches. Its computers after-all. I have plenty of these x3 3200's in stock and can ship same day depending on the time of the order.

Its $399 if you are stock or with simple bolt on's. $399 includes the tuner and tuning shipped to the US. There's a place at check out to include vehicle info and the pcm part number. The pcm part number is on a sticker on the pcm. It's 8 #'s and 2 letters. There may be 5 numbers and 3 more with 2 letters in bold lettering.

I also recommend a 180 tstat and ensure your plenum gasket has been fixed or isn't leaking. The 180 stat will help reduce the chance of spark knock with the premium fuel tunes.

2 Questions Hemifever:

1. Will your tune piggy back on hypertech? (My tuner was stolen after I tuned for tire changes but removed the 87 tune due to ping so I have correct speedo with deathflash)

2. Any money back guarantee? If it pings at all, I'll be returning it.

To be honest, you were the recommendation from about 09-13 but recently a lot of forums say Flyin Ryan is a better tune now. I would love to get rid of deathflash but not at any driveability or mileage expense. Any sales pitch?

SCT will overwrite whatever tune you have on there. If it pings, its your truck and not the tuning. The tuning will consist of 87 through 94 octane tunes. If it takes 93 octane to run on my 87 tune then again, its your engine and its full of carbon buildup and other issues. I would fix your truck if you think you will have pinging issues. Please look at my return policy before ordering.

Thanks. Not sold. All I read is "it's your fault" if it doesn't work perfectly. I'll pass.

That's because it would be your fault. The tune wouldn't make your truck ping, your truck pings because you have underlying issues that need to be solved. Any good tune will advance the timing as much as it safely can without ping on a GOOD WORKING ENGINE, if your engine has problems, you risk ping, with or without tune. I'd be willing to bet if you ping on HFs tune, youd also on anyone elses tune.

Would have been nice if Dodge would have included a knock sensor in their electronics.......
