I got it sorted out, it goes to the back of the alternator

Cool. Seems kinda fat for an alternator wire though.

I’m sure that after near 7 yrs. “zramsst” has realized that the black cable circled in the image isn’t a ground wire. It’s always HOT, which a simple check with a voltmeter could’ve shown. The only thing between it and that red cable is that fuse bridging the two. Likely a 140 amp fuse. This is how the alternator powers everything while keeping the battery charged.
