obd scanner-no power

Default obd scanner-no power

98 ram 1500,5.9 mag,auto,4 whl

che ck light is on
no power to scanner ?
in the pics,,,the 20 amp under the hood was blown,but what is it ?
in the other pic the "black bracket" and the 2 yellow brackets....could only get em partially out,didnt wanna break anything.

anybody ever had "no power to scanner" any past fixes?

Fuse under the hood is for the power outlet.

Fuse 12 in the fuse block (pretty much where your finger is, in the first pic) supplies power to the aldl port. Probably the one under the black bracket.

OK...found the problem !

NOW...I did a forum search for the codes...couldnt find anything but individual Qs about certain codes

Is there a "http" for any/all codes ?

STILL NO POWER TO OBD ?
My "online service manaul" wont load up ?

which pin is the power ? ( for voltmeter test)

ok...got a service manaul to look at
all 2000 pages of it....
no info about the obd port

98 FSM, page 8W-30-4 and 5. (wiring diagrams for data link connector.)

Pink wire at pin 16 is power, from fuse 12 in the junction block.

MAN! I looked thru that section ...TWICE!
thought I was pretty good at reading schematics...

even after you point it out..I'm looking at it now,,,I can see the pink wire coming from the j-box,(m1-20-pk),I can see it runnin to the DLC,looks like it splices to 6-14-4-5 ? but I cant pinpoint it to pin 16.

Now...for the next stupid Q
which pin is 16 at the actual port ?

Pinout is on page 8W-80-22.

Pin 16 is upper row, left side. (all the way to the left.)
