Default 2001 dodge ram 1500 Transmission issues

I have a 2001 dodge ram 1500 slt with 76k miles on it a few months ago i blew a transmission line didn't realize it until the truck stopped moving i replaced the line and now when the truck sits for a while or its really cold out when i first start it up and put it in gear it barely moves if i wait a min or 2 it will move and shift fine should i drop the pan and put a new filter on it? i keep getting mixed answers on dropping the pan and replacing the filter some people say it will make it worse?

sounds like its not getting enough fluid somewhere fast enough. I'd ask the obvious and wonder if your topped off on fluid.

Did you eliminate the trans check valve in the line going to the lower radiator fitting? If so, then what you are experiencing is normal.
