Default Fender Flares

Looking for a set of fender flares for a 1997 dodge ram 2500 reg. cab I like the bushwacker pocket style but was wondering if anyone knew of ones that don't stick out as far as bushwackers. Maybe around 2" to 2 1/2". I plan on keeping them black and not painting. Also would want direct fit of course, maybe they all are direct fit i dont know.

Ones like these might be a little less aggressive plus they are half the price of bushwacker

Bush wacker makes the street flares that are about half the distance of the pocket style. Not sure if they are enough for what you are looking for.

Here's my next question I have LT315 75R16 tires on it right now. Could I go with a wider tire and what would that be? Do they make a wider 35" for 16" rims? I know there is the option of wheel spacers but not sure I'm real keen on them.

Those are already twelve and a half inches wide...... what is your rim width?

So probably 7 - 7.5 inches wide..... I don't think you really want a much wider tire on those.... may have troubles keeping the beads seated.

so what can you tell me about wheel spacers? Good / Bad? Do they hurt anything having them? THe flares I got are Lund pocket style 2 3/4" extension so im guessing I wouldn't need to move tires out too much to look good.

I am not a fan. Changes steering geometry.... and not for the better. Some folks run 'em without issue. But, I have seen them fail, or cause other components to fail, and the results were not pretty. Personally, I won't use 'em.

Don't use wheel spacers bad things happen like HeyYou said your tire is to wide for your stock wheel 7inch with 5-5.5 backspace min of 8inch for a 12.5 tire the bead won't seat right if u can get new wheels if u do that get a wheel with a 4.5 backspace negative offset your wheel hubs and axle bearings will thank you
