They have to say it won't fit because you have a different year, I suppose. Legal stuff. Shipping thing is too bad. Keep trying!
Guess what? The other company i ordered from shipped it yesterday (with usps). Really strange that the first company couldnt ship, since it was exactly the same town and shippingcompany :s

Anyway, can't wait to get it and see how it fits!

Was thinking about bying 3" drop pitmanarm but don't know if it will make so much difference in steering?

Since you have a 12 valve CTD, there is actually a lot more talk about this upgrade on diesel forums. (Not to scare you off) But I go there and read up/research all the time since a lot of Dodge's problems are universal to the diesel and gas world. Just a though for ya.

Okey, thanks for the tip! I know there's alot about it if you google, but sometimes it's hard to know what you can apply to your own truck specifically and sometimes things just get too expensive. Like $1300 for a steerdamper? In sweden you would never get those money back when selling.

Plus, the freight cost for things from USA is often double the price compared to the thing you're bying. And you can't buy much Dodge parts in sweden since there's no market for it.

Sorry for the novel but i'll definitly check out some diesel forums!

Does the 98 2500 steering fit my 97 1500 or do I require a special kit? Like the ball joint taper and such? I don't know if this post here talks only about 2500,3500 trucks with d60's?

People have installed it on 97 1500s but you will lose the steering stabilizer due to how it mounts on the older axles. Some say you won't miss it, others add an aftermarket mount.

It's been a while but now I've got the new 98-99 HD T-steering kit installed. It was almost a perfect fit except i had to cut about 1'' of each thread because the links were too long. So when i took off 1'' they could be adjusted both ways.

So now when the new steering came on, the death wobble dissappeared completely, haven't driven it more than a few days but it drives much better now. I've also changed the bushings on the trackbar to polyurethane.
