When you do it please make a full list of materials as I've been wanting either a 4bt swap 1500 manual or a nice 12v 2500

Not too difficult to find, but, rather expensive when you do.... Would almost be cheaper to score a 12V.... But then, you would just spend the money beefing the suspension instead.

The 4bt Is better suited, and the cost is not all that horrible all things considered. If you score one with a zf5 attached or one cheap enough to throw a 47rh on you are good to go. I would like to use the allison 1000, as they are readily available already bolted up, but need to do a lot of research as for the trans controller. I'm not a huge fan of having a manual torque converter lock up switch with the 47rh

Not to mention O/D......

I have yet to see an aftermarket controller for the various dodge transmissions. I have seen them for the 4L60's, but, O/D in those is hydraulic control as well....

Well for now I'm hoping this motor is salvageable, as I was hoping for mkre planning and prep time for any swaps. The front O2 is disconnected, and can already tell a difference in driving. I may just go ahead and order the plenum kit and hope for the best

Compression seemed good, so I ordered the highest kit and a new 195 thermostat. Anyrhing else that you recommend doing while I'm going in that far? I also keep hearing about issues with the timing chains

That's what I was thinking, making sure I didn't miss anything. Gonna order a timing set and gasket kit, and I suppose I may as well do the water pump while I'm in there

Yep, water pump has to come off in any event, might just as well put on a new one.
