You can just swap the pinion yokes over. Same spline count and such. May not be a bad time to replace the seal as well.

Brake drums..... Get yourself a BFH, smack the drum on the top edge, at a downward angle, turn the drum a bit, hit it again. Keep doing that till it pops off. With my 3 pound single jack, generally 2 to 3 whacks is all it takes.

Sweet! How tight is that pinion yoke on there?

I disagree. As a former owner of ORE axles I recommend keeping the flange on the axle. Then you don't have to worry about disrupting it. Instead get the part number for the flange yoke on the driveshaft side. See parts manual, link to free download in the FAQ section. You should be able to find it here for decent price or check NAPA: http://www.northerndrivetrain.com/

Replace your ujoint with a conversion ujoint that will go with the flange yoke.

You got it.

Here is the Mopar Pn 52105769AA (auto tranny), 52105772AA (manual). Unsure why there would be a difference.

Ujoint for the 00-01 I believe is Nepco 7280. Sorry, tossed my notes since changing out to 1 tons.

Any 00-01 4wd/2wd rear driveshaft should have that flange if you feel like going back to the yard.

Great find on the flange yoke.

Dodge is 7290.

So most likely the 2-0355 here: http://theujointstore.com/cou.html

Get some calipers to measure, cap size diameter and cross length to verify. Do this for the ujoint on existing driveshaft, which should be the 1330.

Sweet thanks, I'll get it all ordered and throw it in soon. Can't wait for the return of some power!
