Find yourself a stretch of empty road, run the truck up to about 30 MPH, and STAND on the brakes. The idea is to get the abs to engage. Do that a couple times, then go home and bleed your brakes again.

I'd like to try to get my hands on the scanner an electronically exercise it. My Dodge 3500 is on a motorhome Class B and I've got two rear tires off in order to access the bleeder valves. Any other tricks to use to energize the ABS system without driving down a gravel road?

None I know of without a scan tool that can do it.

  • Will I have to change the valve or is there a cheaper fix. Can that fitting/port or whatever be replaced or reseated?

Do you happen to have a photo of the valve that you can share in the thread?

this one is listed on eBay for $125. I circled the part that is leaking which as in the photo is on the bottom.

I believe that is a threaded bleeder. If it is try tightening it

That's a hard area to see clearly. Is there rubber and a pin in the center of that bolt at the bottom?

I took the bolt off and the spring came out. I tried to take a picture of the inside and post it but it's so hard to get anything in there. This is the picture I have of it it's not very good. I also took a picture of the fitting/boat.
