Default leaking proportioning valve

I've got little to no brake pressure, and when I look for problems I find a drip coming from the bottom of the proportioning valve. I'm assuming this is letting air in as well as fluid out. I've changed the valve once with one from a same year and model from a junk yard. Started dripping the exact same way. I've also removed the portion of the valve and replaced the oring, but problem persists. Brake light and abs are on on the dash all the time. Any ideas as to what's happening?

Brake light and abs lights on mean there was a fault in the abs system. Is everything working correctly? Speedo? Did you bleed the brakes after you replaced the prop valve?

Pedal goes all the way to the floor with no real pressure buildup. Prop valve leaking. I did bleed the breaks and have fluid coming out well from all 4 bleed ports. Speedo works.

Can you tell where the prop valve is leaking from? it isn't just running down from somewhere above, is it?

I would tend to think that it is actually leaking from where the reservoir seats into the master cylinder body.

Yes. It's leaking right out the bottom. There's a port or something, threads into the valve body. Has a hole through the center of it. Faces down.

Clean everything off real good with some brake cleaner, or similar, pump the pedal a few times, see if you get any pressure.... Then have a look around, and verify that it is indeed the p-valve leaking. Two doing the exact same thing is just way too much of a coincidence.

I have the same exact issue, were you able to fix it or did you just replace it with another?

Does anyone know if the proportioning valve has a bleader, or the hydraulic control unit. I've tried bleeding my brakes twice and I still get a spongy pedal, I did the master cylinder and all the bleeders at the wheels.

Prop valve does not. Do you have 2 or 4 wheel ABS?
