Default Adding front tow hooks

I know they can be added in and the factory holes are there for my 99 ram but my question is, what years am I suppose to stick too? Iv found a set of new hooks for an 09 with hardware for alittle over $100, they look like our style but I want to make sure the year difference is okay before I pull the trigger. Also does anyone have a picture of the "L" brackets I need to add them so I can make sure they are provided for me?

Here's my post from when I installed my Mopar tow hooks. I got lucky and found a set on Ebay.

your trucj looks nice! It looks like they bolt on with 4 bolts and that's it huh. I wish they stuck out alittle farther but it may be different from your sport to my laramie aswell.

Why not just weld a junkyard hitch to the frame? I gave $25 for mine.

Curt makes a bolt on front hitch for 2nd gen, about $150. you can put a trailer anywhere you want to stuff it ... make a platform for a winch... hook for towing. I saw an installation video somewhere...

There was another plate on top that is the same as the one on the bottom for hooking the chains onto so I had to add some 1/8" plates on either side of it so the hitch would sit flat on the frame. I also had to cut the ends off because I didn't want it hanging down too far like it would if I were to try to figure out a way to bolt it on.
