Completely incorrect. As I stated, all ST trim levels did not come with plastic on either the tailgate or the sides of the bed and doors. As manufacturing wound down on 2nd gens, they were removed from higher trim levels as well. The side moldings shrunk from the 94-97 (doors to rear bumper) to 98-99 (doors to rear fender) to 00-01/2 (doors to cab). Ever seen an ORE truck? Never had rear plastic (2000-01). Ever seen the coveted CTD HO? Never had tailgate plastic either (2001-02).

The Base model didn't come with costume jewelry.

I've seen ORE's with it as well as HO's. I've never seen a truck factory without it though I haven't really seen the base models to my knowledge.

There's one in my signature below.

Manual seats, manual windows, no fog lights, no overhead console, no tachometer, no costume jewelry, vinyl flooring... about as basic a truck as Dodge was willing to sell. Mine got the 5.9l and towing package but no trim level upgrades.
