No problem... Another key thing to look at are the shift fork pads (range and mode forks) apparently that's another fairly common issue. Mine were good

Look at the sticky here with "diy" in the title...there is a post with field service manuals....pages 1662-1689 are the 249dld tear down rebuild instructions... Other transfer cases ore different pages

Done!!! I had to wait for the transfer case saver to get here...nice upgrade. Everything works great!! Thanks for all the help! The cross member install from above was super helpful....much easier
