Default Clicking noise on front axle/wheels

I have a 2001 dodge ram 4x4. It has around 240,000 miles on it. I have been hearing a clicking noise mainly the loudest from the front axle on the passenger side. It's gets more frequent the faster I go but after I get too a certain speed it stops. I'm assuming without taking it apart yet that it might be either the brake pads or the calipers because along with this clicking when I hit my brakes my front end goes left to right or vice versa. Not sure if this is connected. What do y'all think is my issue.....

Pull the wheel off and have a look.

I would but I work alot and don't have alot of time to troubleshooting so I was trying to see if anyone had any similar issues that could help narrow it down

Brakes, axle, wheel bearing, anything that rotates. So, yeah, unfortunately you have the truck and will need to inspect it. The pulling is a clue that it's probably brake related though.

It's funny u mention that Nate cause I just watched a video about replacing u joints and the clanking noise it makes from a loose joint sounds almost exactly like the noise I hear. I'm gonna have to pull it apart this weekend and see if that's it or not

You can grab the axle shaft coming out of the axle and wiggle it to see if it makes the sound
If it does you know it's the u joints

X2! If they have never been changed i'm surprised they lasted that long. My truck had 60K on it when i bought it and they where wasted. Made a dig mistake and used whatever brand the parts store had. In about a year they where making noise again. Buy only spicers! Don't even waste your time with the parts store junk.

You probably have more than one problem.

Put a pry bar on the axle shaft and see if you can move the yoke, you shouldn't be able to.
Here's a video of mine when I first heard of how our u-joints sound when their needle bearing turn to dust.
