Default 5.2 318 tick 1997 dodge ram

So I have this tick in my motor. Definitely not a knock just a tick sound it's only there when it's warmed up i can't hear it when it's cold like it's coming from the passenger rear valve cover. My question is what is the torque spec for the rockers and how can I check the lifters? And if it's the lifter I heard there is a way to change them without removing the head? Any advice will be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Torque specs are in the FSM, you can find one here. Rumor has it, that lifters CAN be changed without pulling the head.

Do you by chance know how I can change the lifters without removing the heads? Like the steps? Thanks for the link.

Pull the intake, pull the valve cover on the side in question, Pull the rockers/pushrods, (pay attention to where they go, it's important.) then you *should* be able to pull the lifter.

I appreciate it. I'll give it try Thursday. Is there anyway definite way to test and make sure it's the lifters?

How loud is the tic? If you can post a video then the experts on the forum could tell you if its something to worry about. My car has a very audible injector noise that sounds like ticking but its totally normal for that car.

Please repost on this after. I'd definitely like to know how you made out. My truck has 188k and I'd like to address the engine soon.

Okay so I pulled both valve covers and checked the rocker arms all felt tight. So I pulled cylinder two first rocker arm off to inspect the push rod it looked good I set it back in and torqued it to 21ft lb and torque all the other and they were tight. Now after I put it all back together and started it, it won't stay running and is missing like crazy is there a special way to reinsert the push rod or to re attach the rocker arm? Someone said it has to be at tdc when you torque the rocker arms down and there is a v8 mark on the crankshaft that needs to be lined up with a mark on the timing chain cover? Any advice will be appreciated I need to get it fixed fast.
