1994 Ram 1500 Dome Light not working
Need to find the break in the circuit. If you don't have one already, download a service manual from here. Wiring diagrams are in section 8W. Check the interior lighting section, it will give you a good idea of where everything goes, where the connectors are, etc.
The '94 link has expired. Do you know another one? I don't have a '94, just trying to get copies so I can try to help others with electrical problems.
No, I have the '01(2001) manual, not '91. I'm trying to find the '94. The link in the thread that HeyYou suggested doesn't work any more for 1994.
I now have a '95 manual that looks like it's the same as yours. On page 8-49-3 in top right corner of the page is JOINT CONNECTOR A. With one of your test leads on the GROUND SIDE of the DOME LAMP connector, check for continuity to JOINT CONNECTOR A, PINS 1, 2, AND 8.
BY THE WAY, DOES YOUR IGNITION SWITCH LAMP COME ON when you open the doors?

I am having trouble finding Joint Connector A. I assume it is under the panel directly under the steering column but don't know what exactly to look for. As far as I know, I don't have an ignition switch lamp come on unless the key is turned on. My truck is basic model and doesn't have lamp in glove box or under the hood or overhead console, just the dome light at the back of the roof. I too, had trouble with their link to the manual but just found and downloaded it from the dodge forum website.
This connector and fuse block have to be somewhere under the dash. Can you see any removable covers?
Look under the dash to the left of the steering column. You should see the fuse block.
