trans rebuild... now problems....

Yeah, he did a great job on that truck. Looking thru my PM's, I haven't heard from him since last year some time.......

Yea he did a good job, the place i got it from said the trans was slipping so they put a junk yard trans in it. That trans lasted 40k before the TC and pump went out. I spent about $515 on a rebuild kit from transtar (local transmission parts warehouse) in north austin. I had to reseal the intake after it was already done, there was oil pooling in the intake near #8 cylinder. All in all this truck is veey road worthy..... It was funny when i came back to them and showed pictures of all the work glenn (gdstock) put into it and their eyes lite up lol i bought the truck for probably what gdstock had into it. I guess he traded it in at a dealership because the place i got it from said they bought it from a dealer auction. They buy cars from dealerships when people bring in cars too old to put on the lot...

He had also rebuilt the trans as I recall....... I wonder if it was actually slipping......
