My V10 needs a new crank sensor, but I can't find one!!
Mine is an '03 model, but the blocks are the same. As one of the V10 club, I thought one of y'all in the 2nd gen might know. I was wandering down some dirt roads, when my rig just died, while in motion, and would not restart. I got the vague "intermittent loss of CMP or CKP sensor" code. This is my DD and I cant afford to be down. But I can't find the crank sensor!! The cam sensor has been located online. But I suspect the crank sensor, because two times, the engine died, the tach went to zero, then the engine came back online without me doing anything. Please help!! All I have right now is a very heavy lawn ornament.....

X2 I heard they can be hard to come by. Try to find the part # of a delphi part and then search for it. This says the 5.7 hemi takes the same one.(not delphi though)

They are very hard to come by. They're in and out of stock constantly at rockauto. I had to get mine through ebay and waited almost 2 weeks for it to get here from China.
Ebay shows a few here in the states, but they're pricey. V10 crank sensor

I finally crossed the OEM numbers to Walker numbers:
This is the crank sensor...

And this is the cam sensor...

I hope this helps other members of the V10 club. These parts are on the way, stay tuned for an update on their performance.

UPDATE:
Okay, here goes. I ordered both sensors Saturday before last, they shipped Tuesday. The main problem was I had to fight a little to get the crank sensor plugged in. The cam sensor looked like the original and didn't fight me at all. My rig now starts and runs, but most of the time he has to turn over another couple of revolutions to fire. It's just enough time for my brain to think "Oh, sh*t, he's not gonna crank" and then he cranks.
