Default Leaking fuel from fuel line/ fuel rail connection

to start, i have a 1997 ram 1500 5.9 v8 360

recently i have been experiencing some fuel leakage coming from the fuel rail/ fuel line connection. the rail is plastic, the line is metal and had 3 o rings on it (2 blue, one black) currently to solve my problem, i disconnect the fuel line from the rail via a
quick disconnect clip quick disconnect clip
the slides down and over the line. then slide the line in and reinstall the clip.... that stops the leaking

ive noticed if i wiggle the line it will spray gas, or if the line is pushed in too far it will spray gas. im not really sure what is goin on here. has anyone else experienced this?

I haven't experience that, but it is something to get fixed... now.
Or you could be like this.

right now im looking to swap out the fuel rail (plastic) with a metal fuel rail from a 95. if im not mistaken, the fuel line is female and the metal rail is the male end correct which uses the quick connect coupling for line retention? on the plastic rail, the line is male and the rail is female which uses a saw horse like clip to retain the line.

Could you just change the o-rings?

I think that was a 97 only design, to change over, may have to change the connector there as well. (which I think you can get at the parts store, in the 'help' section.)

Take a real pic of the connection if you can.

Yeah, the later one is a little better.
You might be able to junkyard the rails (steel) and then replace the supply line to get the correct female connector. The later the design, the better it'll be.
