FelPro may not be the cheapest gasket out there, but they are by no means expensive.
What they are is, good reliable gaskets, which makes them cost effective.

And should be easily available at your local auto parts store.

Why does everyone think they need to buy stuff from an online company? Sure, rock auto has good prices, but, from my experience, once you add shipping into the picture, its cheaper to just drive into town, and buy my parts there. If the local store doesn't have what I need on the shelf, they can usually have it the next day......

I haven't saved alot on parts from Rockauto(though they do usually have everything in stock at a fair price), I have however saved a significant amount on some parts by getting them from Amazon. Especially their warehouse deals section.

For some, it's also just a matter of time. After working all day, it's nice to have it just waiting for you at home.

The 'convenience factor'..... I work in town, just up the street from no less than five parts stores...... (within three blocks......) So stopping at one, or more, is on the way home.

Usually because anything I need for my truck can wait a couple of days, so I don't have to pay retail. I can find deals online for name brand parts, and I have commercial accounts.

I don't pay retail for anything unless I'm broke and need it to work pronto. Gasket sets are something that can wait.

I order my fel pro stuff from Summit. Anything over 100 bucks gets free shipping. I also have Amazon prime for the volume of stuff I order for motorcycles and cars and other hobby interests. So, I get free shipping because of an annual fee I pay.

I've saved nearly 800 bucks over retail buying parts online and shopping for deals just on this Ram project alone.

Rock Auto has a lot of garbage "rebuilder" parts that I wouldn't touch with a ten foot pole. So, not every online deal is a deal. Sometimes it's just cheaper.
