Lightbulb Any Codes?

Are there any codes now? What has been changed?
The coil gets 12 volts from the ASD relay. So do the injectors.
The relay is controlled by the PCM.
If the PCM sees the inputs it needs to start, it turns the ASD and Fuel Pump relays on when the key is turned on.
You should see 12 volts on the coil primary and the injectors now.
If the PCM doesn't see what it needs, these relays are shut down after 3 seconds.
Try just swapping the relays with others to see if it'll start.
You should also hear the fuel pump running when you turn the key on.

I received your pm.
Are you still not getting spark?
Can you hear the fuel pump run when you turn the key on?
Do you have fuel pressure?

You only get power for about 3 seconds when you first turn the ignition on at the coil. Same for the injectors. If the PCM doesn't see the engine turning, it will trip the ASD relay. (which is what provides the power.)

Have a friend cycle the key, while you test for power. See what ya get.

Lightbulb Getting Spark From Coil

No, just connecting power to the coil primary will not cause it to create a spark by itself, because the coil requires the 12 volt power AND a trigger signal from the PCM (computer) in order to create the spark.

The PCM (computer) is designed to control both the application of the power and the trigger. Kinda like some people!
It controls the power to the coil and injectors by turning the ASD (Auto Shut Down) Relay on.
It controls the coil and injectors by sending a negative(ground) pulse to them, which creates the spark from the coil, and causes the injectors to pass gas (really).
It won't do any of this if it does not see that the engine is turning over. It monitors the outputs of the crankshaft and camshaft position sensors to determine this.

What year is your truck? If you are 2000, or, 01, then you need to change the electronics in the trans for it to play nice.

Lightbulb Camshaft position sensor

Whoa, big fella!!! You do NOT need to buy a distributor, cap, or rotor. The camshaft position sensor (CMP), now called ignition pickup is sold separately.

If you only have p0320, without p0340 or p1391, your CMP is probably ok.

If possible, check the wiring to the crankshaft position sensor.
