Default Spongy brakes

Gents,

Brand new rotors, calipers and shoes. Did Not touch rear drums. Absolutely NO difference from before.
(Bear in mind 2 years ago and roughly 2k miles I redid all brake lines, rear drums and shoes, front calipers, rotors and pads.) this was done as lines were severely corroded.

Did it again and finished today as brakes still mushy.

I am getting good fluid when bleeding and can't figure out why there is no bite in stopping. I am leisurely coming to a stop. It's as if front aren't getting enough pressure.

No lights, codes.

WTF😡🔫???

**rear lines replaced 2 years ago

That's usually a sign that someone didn't open the proportioning valve when bleeding. Didja?

No I didn't. I only changed out the front calipers this time. Never messed with the rear brakes or lines......

Should I have?

No I didn't touch the rears-bc I broke the bleeder screw off one. I also thought since I didn't touch them they wouldn't have taken on any air in lines...?

Gonna have to address that....

if you open the system, you need to bleed all four corners....

Has the rear line been replaced yet? They are notorious for rusting, and leaking, above the gas tank, so, it doesn't become obvious till the line pretty much breaks.

Yes I replaced all lines 2 years ago. Is it possible my proportion valve or the secondary one is bad? No codes or lights....

If the prop valve was out of place, the lite would be on. (it DOES test, right?)

You have air in the system. It really is that easy. Need to get it out. Having a friend to help with the bleed process makes life a lot easier.

I've heard these trucks have a weak brake system to begin with. Is that true? My pedal goes just a little under 2/3 of the way down and the rears don't feel (or look) like they do much stopping. I've tried adjusting without much effect. I know the previous owner had the front hoses replaced so I'm not sure if the system was bled right. Would this cause the problem or would it be obvious if I had air in the line? My pedal holds steady at stop.
