No testing in Vancouver BC. also does anyone know the thread size ? I'm reading 18mm on some forums
To answer your question:
Con's - NONE
pro's - frees up exhaust, never have to worry about a clogged cat, can improve performance if cat is even slightly clogged now, never have to worry about a clogged cat overheating and causing a fire, and you won't get any engine lights at all from removing it. The o2 sensor by the cat does ALMOST nothing. Just have The shop put an o2 bung in the pipe and screw it back in as it was.
Done. No codes, no loss of performance, and you might be able to scrap it or sell it and make money on the deal. One time I had an entire exhaust out on for $80 and got $100 out of 1 cat and 1 resonator. Made $20 plus had a full exhaust done. Not bad.
In the united states were not "allowed" to remove our cats. He's clueless where Vancouver is and was still trying to tell you you're not "allowed".
Oh hahaha I was a little confused ! Oh well ! Yeah air care was removed so we don't have to have tests anymore ! Provably going to remove the cat, weld in a piece of pipe and then do the non fouler trick
