Default 95 Dodge Ram 1500 5.9 Stumped!!!

Good Afternoon,

I am in serious need of some help. Definitely need a fresh opinion on what I have or have not done. I made the very mistake that I always promised I would never do. I started replacing parts in the hope that one would magically fix the problem. Nope!! No luck and I'm out of patience.
I suppose I should mention what the truck is or is not doing. It is running extremely rough and also seems to be very rich when it runs. Until I installed a new map sensor, it wasn't even throwing a code. When a new MAP sensor was installed it threw out Code 13, which is the new MAP Sensor. Can't figure that out. Maybe a bad sensor out of the box.
I will list the parts replaced so that maybe that someone out there can make an informed decision or diagnosis.
Here we go!!
ECM
Timing chain assembly
All new sensors. MAP, Idle Air, Crank Position, Cam Position, EGR, Throttle Position. I thoroughly cleaned the throttle body and made sure that no passages were clogged or had any build up or deposits.
Replaced two injectors (Cyl 1&2)
Installed new distributor
New Battery
All the basic tune up stuff. Cap, plugs wire and coil
I'm sure there are parts I've left out, but you get the drift.
I would appreciate your help and I will do my best to respond to all questions or comments that are related to this post. Thanks again for your time.

David

Have you checked out the plenum thread?

I have not inspected the plenum threads. I did go around the intake with some ether in hopes of find an intake leak, bad gasket type of thing. Also checked torque on intake manifold.

Try removing the upstream (closest to engine) O2 sensor and see if it runs smoother. If it does that most likely indicates your plenum gasket and catalytic converter are shot.

The converter is not in the exhaust system at this moment. The old was definitely clogged. Now just a hollow empty catalytic converter.

Installed new distributor
Did you set the fuel sync? Is the engine temp sensor working correctly? If it's not the pcm may think the engine is cold when it's not causing the rich condition. You may want to check fuel pressure to rule that out.

I did check fuel pressure. Knew I would forget something. I installed an entire fuel pump and pressure regulator unit. I also thought fuel pressure would cause problem. Did static and running pressure test. Fuel pressure is excellent.
I will look in to sync.

You have two temp sensors on your truck, one for the gauge, one for the PCM. While you are checking fuel sync, have a look at what temp the PCM thinks the engine is as well.

Fuel sync is the first thing to check. If the dist was replaced it has to be set yet.

Thanks so much for the advice and tips. Will sync fuel injectors and let you all know the results. Again, I thank you.
