Default Front Brakes Locking up

My friend has a 1998 Dodge Ram 1500 and the front brakes keep locking up on their own then release after a while any ideas?

Would that be the 5.9 engine?

Do the brakes stay applied after stepping off the pedal? Will they lock up WITHOUT stepping on the pedal??

Yes sorry 5.9 engine
The brakes just tighten up while driving without stepping on the pedal

Jack up the front end, support it on jackstands. Step hard on the brake once. Try and spin the front tires.... If they are very hard to turn, crack open the bleeder valves on the calipers. If the tires suddenly become easy to turn, replace the soft brake lines.

Just didn't want anyone to not get that part, but get a whole bunch of brake fluid on themselves.
