Default Governor sensor and bracket

I am aware that the governor sensor changed in 2000. I swapped a 2001 trans into my 99 and had to swap the sensors. When I swapped them I just swapped the whole aluminum bracket that holds both the governor sensor and solenoid. I will be rebuilding my transmission soon and am wondering if there is any difference in that aluminum bracket and if I can just pull out the 2000/20001 governor sensor and swap in a 96-99 style sensor?

If not I need to find a junk trans I can rob one out of.

The only real difference is the retainer. Everything else is pretty much the same. Also note: The 2000 and up sensor gives a different signal range than the older guys.

96-99. I swapped a 2001 trans into my truck but had to remove the electronics and governor bracket from the 01 trans and put my parts from my 99 trans into the new one. Now I need a new governor bracket for the 99 trans so I can rebuild it.
