Junkyard Doors or Patch Panels??
My 01 has the typical rust problem on the bottom of both doors. Looking at options to fix - either I can buy a welder (which I want anyway) and the patch panels and fix myself - or search for junkyard doors which may or may not (probably not) match the truck paint. I figure if I do the patch panels I will just Line-X the bottom section of the truck afterward. I'm not a body man but probably have the skills to weld in a panel and fill it. My main worry is water getting up in the doors from rust holes. What do you guys think - are there any junkyard doors that aren't already rusting like mine - and is it worth going that route or do I fix it or what???
If you can find brand new oem or aftermarket doors that would be your absolute best route to go. Unfortunately I don't think anyone makes new doors for the quad cabs. . . .don't quote me on that though. You might find a clean junkyard door but how long will that last? I just went thorough this on my 99 quad cab. Your best bet will likely be to put patches on and repaint. You can tape off on the body line and paint the door below that. Just make sure you grab paint swatches beforehand and match as close as possible.
You're a 4 hour ride (depending on how far west of St Louis you are) from these guys http://mintonmotorsinc.com/
Might be worth it, they have a lot of Rams.

either route you go (repair or used), I would put new window seals/stripping. i think some of that rusting issue comes from the water getting past those and getting in the door. the weep holes are a good thing. I'm getting ready to do the patch job myself as soon as it warms up.
Problem with the doors is there was no or little sealer used on the lower crimp seam. This is bare metal so once water gets in there it's going to rust. Seal the lower part of the door so water can't get between the seam and make sure the drains are not clogged up to let the water out.

Regular cab doors will fit any two door truck, regardless of cab length. However, if you have the rear doors as well, then you MUST have doors from the same cab style, WITH the rear doors. They are shaped different.
