Get the case spreader.
It's likely you will be able to thread the broken bolts out with just your fingers, once you have the carrier out. Mark the gear, and the carrier, and reinstall the gear in the EXACT same position it was in originally.
Do you have the axles pulled out?

No air tools. Thought about buying a set this morning, but it would take several extension cords to reach across one parking lot to the next , to reach where she's laid up. I did just snap 2 breaker bars, one 1/2 and 1 3/4 drive , both bought new this morning. Are these nuts reverse threaded ? Gonna try more new breaker bars ( I'm $70 in just in breaker bars!) With some heat from the propane torch. If that fails I suppose I could break out my torch that is for glassblowing, it gets very hot but sure doesn't handle the way a nice OXY acetylene setup does. Also really struggling with the passenger side shock . Had to hammer the **** out of the driver side one to get it into that bottom mount. The passenger side is tricky, seems like I need to hammer at it from under truck towards the wheel well. Anyone know a trick here ?
Wow!! That thing must be really stuck to break a bolt. I agree with hey you they should come out easy when / it's out. Can you position the diff so you can use a breaker bar to turn it. Not on a bolt but maybe slip it between the spider gears. You may have to use a come along wrapped around the diff and the frame. Can you take a pic of the diff and post it. I know you said the axles r out but the pass side has 2. An inner and outer. R they both out?
Hey guys, So.....NO I havent removed any other axles. When I removed the hubs I just pulled out what axle came with each. So I guess I need to go through the cad area on the passenger side of the axle and pull out the inner axle ? I didnt realize there was another section, I should have, since the section that did come out was short. Hopefully this should make getting the carrier out a bit easier!
The next really crappy thing; today I attempted to install the new u joints. It went bad. I could not get the spider in between the yolks on either axle! I tried many angles and such ..it just was not looking possible. I did get 1 spider through one yolk and attempted to press 2 opposing side caps on , I ended up screwing up the seal on one ujoint.
I has to return the tool today, I checked on the case spreader, they dont rent or sell em.Bought another spicer 5 760x joint for $35 and brought both axles and ujoints to a local shop, they are charging me $150 to install the joints !!... Super bummed, but there was no way for me to get them in !

Ok. Well that explains the carrier issue. From the cad housing pull the axle and slide it through the tube with your finger. I promise you that the carrier will come right out now. Try it again. I couldn't believe you broke a bolt. Something didn't seem right. Jam the pants back in there with the axle removed and get it out. As far as the u joint, $150. Holy Christ. I bet dodge would be cheaper!!! I would call them and ask
