Copied this one to the FAQ/DIY forum as well. I *think* the OP can still edit in that forum, should it become necessary.

Thanks for the DIY!

Now that's using your head for more than a place to put your hat!!! Great idea!

Since my '97, does just use 2 bulbs, one in each headlamp, I won't need to go to the extremes Christian did, correct? I haven't got my harness yet, but from what I have read it should be pretty much plug and play!
I like the idea dbbd1 has about the waterproof box to house the relays in!!

Yeah, the harness was designed for the single-bulb-in-a-housing style. (non-99 and up-sport, or, maybe its 98.5 and up??) It is indeed a direct plug and play. I only had to drill one hole for a ground on the passenger side. I did not install fuses though, and that seems like a REALLY good idea to me.

I have the same setup as you. Not the duals in each healdlamp, but the hi/lo same bulb, one in each headlamp.

It seriously is plug and play, I'm just a perfectionist, I want mine looking like its factory. Nice and neat. I also probably worry about wire chafing too much lol . In the future I may be extending the wires on the passanger side so they aren't so tight, but for now it works great.

Pretty much. If memory serves the fuses and holders weren't part of the kit... if they're not in your kit, you'd do well to add 'em. Ain't nuthin' sucks the same way as rebuilding a smoked harness on the side of the road in the middle of the night in the middle of nowhere, especially if you have to cannibalize wire from non-essential circuits to do it.

I also had to add some wire to mine because I took both legs directly to the battery, and LMC's kit at the time came in ricer yellow sleeving so I ripped that off and replaced it with black split loom. But, yeah, pretty much plug and play.

THe fuse holders did not come with the kit. I used the spade connectors for my holders to connect to the LMC harness because the holders are 10guage, and the harness is somewhere in the 16-14 gauge.

Default LMC Truck 55-9505

I put this same kit in my 2001 ram, non sport, and noticed 2 problems that I still can't resolve. With the low beams on with factory fog lights on also, the high beam indicator is vevy dimly lit. The second issue is , when I switch from low to high beam then back to low, the high beams stay on.I have bean trying to figure this out for 3 weeks with no luck.

You have voltage there from somewhere, It must be enough to keep the relay engaged. Find where the voltage is coming from(damaged switch/wired wrong) and that should solve it.

Maybe the dash switch and pig tail are melted and need to be replaced.
