Default 1996 ram 4x4 won't drive in after shift solenoid kit.

First off I installed the master shift solenoid kit because the truck didn't have 1st or OD. After that we filled up the transmission and let it run through all the gears at idol. The truck still doesn't have 1st gear and now it won't even hardly move in drive. It seems like if you put it in D, it starts out in third and when you let off the gas it stops like something is binding. Any help here would be appreciated.

Recheck fluid level. Can't check it in park, have to be in neutral.

Did you get the right electronics for your year truck?

Also the truck drives fine in second gear but if you manually shift it into drive, it starts to shutter and when you let off the gas it feels like you step on the brakes lightly.

Was it doing the same thing before you changed the sensors/solenoids?

No, it drove fine. It just didn't have first and OD.

Then something went wrong during the install. Either the wrong parts, failed parts, or an improper adjustment. Did you do anything with the bands while you were in there?

No I didn't touch anything else. I made sure all of the parts stayed clean and it went together very easily.

That's a sure sign that something went wrong.

Does it do the same thing with the electronics unplugged? (manual control only, you will have to do ALL the shifting.)
