Why are you flushing the system and what are you using? No need to flush it if there weren't any contaminants. Pag oil is for the ac system. The sticker should be for what is in the crank case of the compressor. Oil loss can be tricky when you replace components because it gets circulated threw out the system. Did you see if you could pour out the oil that was in the old receiver/drier?

If you don't have a copy of the service manual yet, get one here. Dig thru the A/C section for amounts of oil, and where it goes. Don't dump it all in the compressor, might run into hydro-lock, and destroy your nice new compressor.

I would add the dye in addition to the correct amount of oil...... I don't think the dye lubricates too well.

I'm flushing because I've had a compressor failure. I'm using a pneumatic pressurized flush kit with denatured alcohol.

I have gotten the system together and gassed up with spec amount or r134a using manifold gauges. All was well but the low side seemed to go too high from what I've read. Once I had all the refrigerant in the low side was reading 60 and high side was at 250. From what I've read so far the high side is within spec but the low side seems too high at 60 psi. I getting center vent temps of high 40's to low 50's on a mid 80's humid Tennessee evening. What do you think is going on here or is there even a problem at all?

Low side does seem a little high..... but, if it's working good, run it for a while, and see how it behaves.

I drove some last night then I put the gauges on it this morning. The initial readings were 30 low and 215 high and system is cycling normally. The outside ambient air temp at the time was 80 degrees with 85% humidity (a typical Tennessee morning in mid June) with the center vent registering at 44 degrees. I feel pretty good about it right now. Thanks!

That sounds perfect. Outlet temps are awesome.
