Default ABS not working

Ok , on my free truck, I was driving along and had to hit the brakes a little hard and the back wheels locked up and smoked the tires, I looked and saw the ABS light on the dash, is this a fuse or something deeper?

Check and see if there are wires for the front wheel speed sensors. If there aren't any wires, then you just have RWAL.

No wires going to the front wheels, and I dont see any going to the rear, is there a junction box somewhere that is causing the wheels to lock up?

May not hurt to inspect the rear brakes.

Check the sensor on top of the diff. They tend to fail. About all you can do is replace it.

Your speedo works properly, does it not?

Also: What year is your truck?

Ok, might just replace that rear wheel speed sensor then, and it *may* solve your problems.
