hey thank for your reply cruz55 . but I'm hoping that someone actually tried it and can tell me the outcome but I still appreciate your reply ..hey have you had any front end work on your dodge because I've replaced ball joints/wheel bearings /shocks all the way around /new tires plus an alignment and I still have road wander

Idk why I don't see my response to your last question but here it is again its rear wheel drive .. Also I'm having steering wander and I get a shimmy after 55mph .I've replace upper and lower ball joints. Both front wheel bearings / /shocks and new tires and the front end shop says the can't tell me why I'm getting a shimmy even after putting it on the lift three times ..I don't consider myself a mechanic and I attempt to do some needed work myself .(the simple stuff of course ) providing I have the tools for the job . I'm gonna try replacing the upper and lower control arm bushings then the track bar Pittman arm /drag link and sway bar bushings ..one at a time because I can't afford to do it all at once ..and if I can help anyone thru my experience please let me know because that's how this whole thing works .thanks dodge forum

I seem to remember something about the hub centers being larger diameter on the older trucks, but, not 100% sure on that.

Did you have the shimmy before the tires? Think I would start with inspecting the front end parts myself..... see if anything is loose.

Hey you thanks and I've heard the same and then another person would say they went right on and yes the shimmy was there before the new tires went on ..I don't have the funds to just throw money at it but the truck has been pretty reliable plus it was my late fathers truck and I'm just trying to keep it in good running condition .. Plus I use it for work ..when I drive it around town its no shimmy but I still get the road wander regardless of speed

Something is still sloppy in there then. Need to find it, and fix it. Having a friend help you inspect makes life easier.
