Disconnect the 8 pin connector. Go for a ride. Keep in mind, your trans will have ZERO automatic function, nor will you get TCC, or O/D. Start in first, shift up or down when appropriate. If it goes into the gear you tell it to, when you tell it to, you still have an electronic problem. If it doesn't..... Rebuild time.

I couldn't find anything that looked like 8 pins there was a 3 pin rectangle plugged in from the bottom and the truck wouldn't start, and a 3 pin round that plugged in from the top and it still wouldnt shift out of first guess I'm calling the transmission shops in the morning. Thanks for all the help I really appreciate it

Should be on the drivers side, about half way back. Plugs straight down into the trans, above the throttle body.
