Speedo should get its clue from the CTM. It just tells it where to put the needle, and that's about it.......

Hmmm i checked the CTM at the first of the ordeal and it seemed to be ok..... I noticed in the FSM the C1 and C2 plugs that go in the back of the panel dont really show what feeds the gauges. Its almost like Im missing plugging something up or something though. If Im not mistaken the door chime and several other things seem to feed from that timer module too and that part is working.

CTM is basically just a network hub. PCM and Cluster communicate via that network. You can do a cluster test....... (hold the trip reset button down, while you turn the ignition on.....) and make sure things do what they are supposed to.

Ok cluster test I held od button down while turning key until chec came up and it did absolutely nothing after that. I did notice the brake light stays on dim all the time. Also when you turn the key on all the gauges except the rpm and speedo jump up but just right below the first line of the respective gauge and whether you crank it or not they just go to there then slowly start to fall back to home. Also call me stupid but I can not figure where this guy is supposed to plug in (the white one right above the steering column) and prob my whole dang problem lol

You want the trip reset button, not the O/D button.

So any ideas from here? Can I check with a multi meter and see if I'm getting signals to those plugs so I can at least rule out the cluster or instrument panel being bad? If so how?

Ok I rechecked the fuses and the cluster fuse was blown so replaced it and now the dash looks like a Christmas tree and none of the gauges work still but the odometer does now so I re did the check and I am getting these codes. im getting 900,920, 921,940,950, and then it stays on 999. Then after i crank the truck and it runs for a few the odometer will blink every 5 seconds or so. ALso can anyone tell me what this plug plugs into. Its just behind the knee panel and above and to the left of the steering column.

Ok I think I have figured it out but can not find where it plugs in. It is joint connector NO.7. Its on pg 8w-80-40 and 8w-90-24 of the FSM. All of them deal with the CCD bus so I am betting that is the gauges so if yall can help me figure out where in the heck this thing plugs in we may be in business!!!!
