I wouldn't disagree with that, but surely there is someone on here that that has better electrical knowledge than myself that can figure out from some kind of diagram where that pin and the wire comes from and goes to.

IF that is Connector 134, I think that's is pin 67, which is a ground for various interior lights? (circuit z3) What color is the wire supposed to be?

The wire is black with a red tracer. But being as it's headed up behind inst. Panel could it be the ground for it?

It looks like your right it is pin 67 according to this and here is a little piece of the insulation that was left so how do I find out where each end of this wire goes to?

Ok still getting there slowly but surely... It is part of the z3 circuit and the wire that is burned going up behind the cluster lands on pin 5 of instrument cluster-c1 plug... which comes down to the c134 plug that then goes through the firewall so anyone know where to fond the other end on the engine side of the firewall?

8W-15-10

That wire is the ground for the electric brake controller. Even if you don't have one, the harness for it is still there.

LOL I literally just pulled this back up before the email notification came through to tell the world that's what I found out . Just wished I would have known that before I cut half the protective tape off the bundle on the other side of the firewall!!! So I'm ready to replace all of the wires that I have found that burned up. So are there any tips on how to get the little metal connector/clips to release from the plastic parts of the plug?

There is a special tool for that, and having it, makes your life a LOT easier. Get one of the kits, that comes with new ends, and the crimping tool as well.
