Welcome.

Exhausts are as unique as your style.

If you want sound, go Flowmaster. The loudest is the 10, then 40, then 50, etc.

If you want loud, straight pipe or just headers.

If you want civilized rumble, glass pack or Magnaflow. Length of pipe makes a difference. Cat makes a difference.

My favorite exhaust that I've had on my Ram with the 360 is a Magnaflow catalytic converter and a Flowmaster 40 series muffler with pipe exiting behind each tire. It sounded great both outside and inside of the truck.

My problem I had is that aftermarket exhaust pipe just hasn't held up well for me. The stainless steel tips looked great as long as I spent an hour or two with a drill and a Powerball polishing them every 2 weeks or so. That combined with the fact that the exhaust started breaking off after about 3 years or so (something in the muffler also broke), made me decide that I just didn't want to keep spending that much money on my truck that I rarely use. So after my second exhaust, I just did a Magnaflow catalytic converter with no muffler and a straight pipe that turns down at the axle. It definitely doesn't sound as good, but still sounds decent although a fair amount louder. For me this setup just works well. It's cheap, it works, and it's less to rust out. I also don't have to constantly polish the tips to keep them looking decent.

I have shorty headers on mine. I also cut my muffler off after the cat. She sounds like a REAL truck now lol

I went with the Flowmaster BigBlock 70 series 3 inch in and 3 inch out and I think it sounds great.

Several manufactures make 304 stainless steel mufflers(i have one on mine) that will outlast the truck!

Stainless is also handy as it is relatively easy to remove for the next tranny rebuild .

I'm old school, so I like the cat back with duals under the rear bumper. I bought the AP brand 2.5" dual tails (aluminized), with their stainless muffler. Purchased a mid pipe (between converter) and muffler for a long bed quad cab, because the feed from the converter was damaged by the last installer. I can't remember the price, but I'm pretty sure it was under $180 - and I installed it.
