Will a 97 interior door panel interchange with a 98 door panel?

Yeah it should. Based on your model, I was able to find a genuine OEM Dodge/Mopar door panel that shows fitment for 1997, 1998, 1999, 2000 and 2001 model years for example. If the 98 (or newer) truck is a single cab (only front doors, no back seat) they should interchange.
I tried to fit a 98 extended cab (4 door) panel on my 97 extended cab and they didn't work. The bottom was shaped different and some of the dowel holes were different also. I found a single cab 98 and they fit, but didn't last me long... Gotta love Dodges plastic
